I love intimacy. Intimate surroundings, intimate moments, intimate conversations; if you mention anything about intimacy, I’ll like it. The good news is, there are endless varieties of intimacy to explore and experience
Now, when I mention the word intimacy, I’m not only referring to sexual intimacy. For example, intimate can be described as a bike ride on a quiet trail that wends its way through a verdant meadow. How wonderfully intimate! I can be close to the natural elements, feel the breeze in my hair and the sun’s warmth on my body, all while pedaling happy circles down the trail. This is when I experience intimacy alone, with mother nature.
Clothing intimacy?
I find wearing a shirt my ex boyfriend has worn intimate. Even though he's gone, I can hold his shirt and breathe in his scent while imagining his strong shoulders, chest and arms under the fabric. When I wear his shirt, I feel close to him. So, it doesn't surprise me when people here ask me about my underclothes; my bras, nylons, stockings, panties, etc. It's an intimate topic. Fabric against skin in intimate, private places. Speaking of clothing, another example of intimate contact would be my body against the inner padding of my riding shorts. I'm referring to the cycling shorts I wear when riding on the quiet trail mentioned above. After I wear them a boyfriend might even consider them intimately connected to my body and maybe even become aroused--and I'd like it if he was. I guess it's like me and my ex boyfriends shirt, which by the way I know is pathetic since he's gone, but that's another story.
Of course, there is also intimacy between two people--touch, passion, caring, warmth, happiness and closeness. I love this type of intimacy the most. So until I find myself in another intimate relationship, I'll suppose write about how I smell my ex boyfriend's shirt, ride my bicycle and discuss my cycling shorts. Life is so interesting.
