Staying true to the promise they made their parents, the two siblings remained inside their underground bunker until the rations ran out. After two weeks together in a cramped shelter they emerged looking for anyone who could tell them what happened. They roamed for three more weeks and still found no survivors, growing increasingly despondent at the thought that they may be the only two left, and that life as they new it was over.
