I feel wet when breath finds my neck.
I feel wet when breath finds my neck. Sometimes I feel breath close enough on my neck that my hijab can’t hide how my legs open. Wetness starts between my thighs before anything even touches me. My anklet pushes against my skin when my thighs try to hold the wetness in. I wonder how my name would sound if it touches my skin. It makes me open my mouth, wet and waiting, even without a single touch. I write because it’s the only way to let someone close to know what breath and wetness hide under my hijab.
