Initially embedded into the white repressive forces, after being captured by Black liberators, the photojournalist Anne B. WHITE was offered be treated like the rest of the women prisoners of war, or to serve as a witness to the defeat of her race. nThere had always been a traitor within them, as well as a coward, so she agreed to become the lover/slave of a rebel officer and to photograph what happened to other defeated women. nShe discovered that none of them retained any trace of dignity after her first night as a prisoner of war in black hands, and that if she was going to end up in a Black man's bed, it was better to end up in a single bed for just one Black man rather than as common property.nIn time not only she learn to obey but enjoyed her status as a white pet.nHer photographs, at first clumsy and frightened, became the best witnesses of an entire era.nSadly after the war she was sold to a brothel in New Congo (former Belgium) and lost trace of her
